PAESAN – September 26
What is PAESAN? It’s the 38th annual Police and Emergency Services Appreciation Night, where our community gathers to honor our police, firefighters, lifeguards and park rangers for their services.
This community picnic will be held on Wednesday, September 26, 4:00 – 6:30 pm at North Crown Point Shores Rotary Club Pavilion (3700 Corona Oriente Road, just off Crown Point Drive at Moreland).
Entry price is $5 for adults (free for children under 12), which includes a yummy BBQ dinner and awards presentations.
Pacific Beach Woman’s Club will be there, with information on membership and events.
Pacific Beachfest – October 6
Once again, Pacific Beach Woman’s Club will have a booth at this special community event on the boardwalk.

Bunco Fundraiser – October 20
Let’s play bunco! If you don’t know how, it’s easy, and we’ll show you how. Bring your friends and family!
This is a fundraiser for Mission Bay High School scholarships and for Stand Up For Kids, an organization that helps homeless youth. $20 per ticket is requested as a donation, which includes three rounds of bunco, food, non-alcoholic beverages, and one door prize ticket. Raffle baskets will be available, too.
Our Bunco Fundraiser will be held at the clubhouse, Hornblend Hall, at 1721 Hornblend Street in Pacific Beach, from 2:00 to 5:00 pm. For more info and tickets, call Lynda Tickey at 858.573.0278.

Wine Tasting – Each Spring
It is now a tradition every spring that the PBWC hosts its annual wine-tasting event!
Held at Hornblend Hall in Pacific Beach, the wine-tasting is a great time to enjoy friends and make new ones. This year there were more than 60 wines to taste, and the appetizers prepared by club members were legendary, as always. There were raffles and a silent auction, with lots of amazing items donated by local businesses and individuals.
Please plan on attending next spring! And if you or your business can donate items for raffle or auction for that event, please let us know. The proceeds support our charitable and community-focused efforts.
